Gun-Wielding Baltimore County Man Busted For Road-Rage Incident On I-695: State Police

Maryland State Police troopers tracked down and apprehended a road-raging man who pointed a weapon at a woman while driving on I-695 on Thursday afternoon.

White Hall resident David Belt, Jr., 41, was arrested on Oct. 3 following an investigation into an incident involving he and another driver along the interstate, authorities announced

Police say that shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, troopers received a call reporting an alleged road rage incident on I-695 in the area of Greenspring Avenue.

The victim advised that the driver of a Ford - later identified as Belt - pointed a gun at her while both were traveling on the interstate; however, no injuries were reported.

It is unclear what caused Belt to break out the weapon.

Investigators were able to locate the Ford on Thursday night, Belt was arrested, and troopers recovered two loaded handguns.

Belt was charged with first- and second-degree assault, as well as weapons offenses. The incident remains under investigation.
